Alyssa Cass is an American recording artist originally from Massachusetts. Her voice has frequently been compared to Adele for its dark rich tone and emotional quality and Ariana Grande for her range and vocal agility. She cites The Weeknd as a major writing influence. Her music can best be described as catchy pop music to dance to with a taste of soulful vocals.
She began her journey performing at local restaurants; "I knew from the first time I heard her sing she was going places!” (John Slattery, Papps Bar & Grill) No stranger to the stage, during her formative years at Berkshire School and Elon University, she performed in a variety of music and theater shows. She went on to win numerous awards including the Ernest L. Wakefield Prize for Excellence in Music and 1st Place in Elon University’s Songwriting Competition.
After working as an assistant for vocal coach Nick Cooper who has coached major artists including Beyonce, Katy Perry, and Nicki Minaj, she was inspired to further hone her craft and pursue her music career in LA. But it wasn't until winning a trip to the Grammy's that propelled her to finally make the move out to California.
She now lives in Los Angeles where she works in her studio singing, writing, and producing her music. Her songs have garnered over 100k plays on and been featured in local and international publications. Her music videos are colorful, bold, and fun; she shares, "music videos are a big part of my self-expression as an artist as I get to expand on a song visually through means of dance and storytelling. As an independent artist I take pride in wearing many hats as the artist, director, choreographer, and the video editor to make my vision come to life."
Alyssa Cass has performed at high profile events in Hollywood including performing as the guest artist at Miss Filipina International. Word quickly got around after Alyssa sang at parties in Beverly Hills and was scouted in Santa Monica and brought to studio sessions and now is in high demand in LA as a singer and performer. She has appeared on red carpet events including being interviewed at Breaking Hits amongst other events.
She also quickly amassed a following on BIGO Live for live streaming singing, making music, dancing, and showing the behind the scenes of her music and life. Multi-talented and creative, this year she will also be launching her clothing brand. Outside of music, she is making strides in the entertainment industry acting making her debut in her first feature film "Lotus" playing Stella Starr.
"With so much I want to do with music and creative projects on my plate, I'm just getting started" Cass shares. Stay tuned for the latest music and creative projects.
