Alyssa Cass is an American recording artist originally from Massachusetts. Her voice has frequently been compared to Adele for its dark rich tone and emotional quality and Arianna Grande for her range and vocal agility. She cites The Weeknd as a major writing influence and takes after mainly pop and R&B production.
She began her journey performing at local restaurants; "I knew from the first time I heard her sing she was going places!” (John Slattery, Papps Bar & Grill) No stranger to the stage, during her formative years at Berkshire School and Elon University, she performed in a variety of music and theater shows. She went on to win numerous awards including the Ernest L. Wakefield Prize for Excellence in Music and 1st Place in Elon University’s Songwriting Competition.
After working as an assistant for vocal coach Nick Cooper who has coached major artists including Beyonce, Katy Perry, and Nicki Minaj, she was inspired to further hone her craft and pursue her music career in LA. But it wasn't until winning a trip to the Grammys that propelled her to finally make the move out to California.
She now lives in Los Angeles where she works in her studio singing, writing, and producing her music. Her songs "All or Nothing" and "Getaway" have gained recognition and been featured in local and international publications. She has performed at high profile events in Hollywood including performing as the guest artist at Miss Filipina International.
Alongside pursuing her artist career, she is currently getting her MFA in Filmmaking at the New York Film Academy in LA in the aims to further her production company Alyssa Cass Entertainment in making her music videos.
